A nanny is a person who offers professional childcare for your children, whom are qualified childcare experts with several years of childcare related experience.
Some of the duties that you can expect from your nanny are; light housework, tidying up after the children, cooking nutritious meals, driving children to school and taking them to after-school activities. They also can act as a tutor for children.
It is important to know that most nannies do not do housekeeping; they only tidy up after children, and their bedrooms which includes clothing as well.
Nannies may work with your family full time or part time. They may live in or live out. It depends on the needs of your family!
*Full-time nannies work a minimum of 30 hours a week and commit to staying with a family for at least one year.
The average rate of pay for a live-out nanny is currently $18.00 to $25.00+/hour, depending on the nanny’s background, experience, and education along with the responsibilities of the position.
